What Apto is
A free tool that roasts your college list, tracks your deadlines, and organizes your essays. It gives feedback and structure — it never writes application content. There is no button for that, and asking the AI nicely won't create one.
Who can use it
You must be 13 or older. The free core stays free through the 2026–27 application cycle.
What we're not promising
- The roast and the reach/target/safety bands are a data-grounded read, not admissions advice, counseling, or a prediction of any outcome.
- Deadlines are sourced from official pages and re-verified through the season, but schools change dates — always verify on the school's official page. Apto is a radar, not the source of truth.
- The service is provided as-is; we may change or discontinue features. If we ever shut something down, we'll give you a way to export first.
Your stuff
Your list, notes, activities, awards, stats, documents, background answers, and essays are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the product for you (see the privacy policy). Delete your account any time and it's all hard-deleted immediately — uploaded files included.
Playing fair
Don't abuse the service: no scraping, no flooding the roaster, no trying to make the AI write essays or produce content that targets people. Rate limits exist and we enforce them.
Liability, the short version
To the maximum extent the law allows, Apto isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages from using the service — including admissions outcomes and missed deadlines. Triple-check the dates that matter. We do.
